How Trust Scores Work
Every dealer on GTA Auto Hub gets a single Trust Score out of 100 instead of a wall of one-star horror stories. Here’s exactly how it’s calculated.
1. Rating component — 70% of the score
A dealer’s average customer star rating (out of 5) is converted to a 0-70 point scale. A perfect 5.0 average earns the full 70 points.
2. Review volume bonus — 30% of the score
A dealer with 500+ reviews behind a good rating has earned more trust than one with three reviews and the same average. We add a bonus (up to 30 points) that grows with the log of the review count, scaled against a benchmark of 500 reviews. Going from 5 to 50 reviews matters a lot; going from 450 to 500 barely moves the needle — which mirrors how genuinely convincing a track record actually is.
Why no complaint details?
We deliberately do not publish specific complaint text or “reasons” next to a dealer’s listing. A numeric, transparently-calculated score is fair to dealers and useful to buyers without exposing anyone to unverified claims. If you want the full picture on a dealer, check their OMVIC registration and read reviews directly on Google before you buy.
